Emptiness, My Friend with Henry the poet
You once called my name above a setting sun
with the conviction of a thousand whispers
Every direction i turned, was the void of a man
The void of a friend, a confidant
The void of a conscious soul while the vessel still breathes
I turned to emptiness in a moment of fear
and I begged for just another minute of his time
For him to take form of who he was once more
My heart became full of desolation
Missing moments that turned to memories
It became all dark
When a single star left the constellations
We fell apart, but united in a velvet silence
My empty voice could not plead
On the behalf of my wistful heart,
I lost.
